The Mets placed P J.J. Putz on the 15 day DL and called up P Fernando Nieve. Putz had surgery to remove a bone spur in his elbow and is expected to be out at least 2 months.
Rangers P Frank Francisco was unavailable yesterday, due to lingering shoulder soreness.
The Cardinals placed P Kyle Lohse on the 15 day DL and called up SS Tyler Greene. Lohse has a strained forearm.
The Indians activated DH Travis Hafner from the DL and sent P Fausto Carmona to the minors.
The Orioles will place SS Cesar Izturis on the 15 day DL. Izturis had an appendectomy.
The Marlins placed P Anibal Sanchez on the 15 day DL and called up P Cristhian Martinez. Sanchez has a sprained shoulder.
The Orioles returned P David Davidson to the Marlins, who placed him on the 60 day DL. The Orioles had claimed Davidson off waivers, but the claim was voided, due to a shoulder injury.
The Rockies activated P Matt Daley from the DL.

A's 1B Jason Giambi had to leave yesterday's game, due to lower leg tightness.
Orioles LF Felix Pie had to leave yesterday's game, after a foul ball hit him in the throat.
The Mets activated RF Ryan Church from the DL and moved P Billy Wagner from the 15 to the 60 day DL.
The Angels activated P Kelvim Escobar from the DL and moved P Dustin Moseley from the 15 to the 60 day DL.

The Dodgers placed P Eric Milton on the 15 day DL and called up 3B-2B Blake DeWitt. Milton has back tightness.
Red Sox CF Jacoby Ellsbury had to leave yesterday's game, due to a strained right shoulder.
The Braves placed 1B Casey Kotchman on the 15 day DL, retroactive to June 1. Kotchman has a bruised shin.
The Tigers activated LF Marcus Thames from the DL and sent 3B-1B Jeff Larish to the minors.
Astros P Felipe Paulino had to leave yesterday's game, due to a leg injury.
Pirates SS Jack Wilson was out of yesterday's lineup, due to a sore back.
Blue Jays 3B Scott Rolen has been out of the lineup the past 2 days, due to a stiff back.

Twins 3B Joe Crede was scratched from esterday's lineup, due to a sore calf.
The Padres placed P Luis Perdomo on the 15 day DL and and actviated P Mike Adams from the DL. Perdomo has a strained left knee.
The Rangers will place P Brandon McCarthy on the DL.
McCarthy has a stress fracture in his shoulder.

The Phillies placed P Brad Lidge on the 15 day DL, retroactive to Sunday, and called up C Paul Bako. Lidge has a sprained right knee.
Marlins C John Baker had to leave yesterday's game, due to a cut over his left eye.
The Rockies activated C Chris Iannetta from the DL and sent C Edwin Bellorin to the minors.
The Brewers activated P Mark DiFelice from the bereavement list and sent P Mike Burns to the minors.

Nationals P Jordan Zimmermann was scratched from his start yesterday, due to elbow soreness.
